gift drive
We understand that it has been a difficult year and the holiday season may be an especially taxing time for many. This year, our gift drive will provide gifts for women at the Shepard’s Cove Shelter for Women and Children in Prince George’s County, Maryland. We will also provide gifts for underprivileged parents and students at Oxon Hill High School.
Drive-thru food distributions
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Overcomer has partnered with Church of Living Waters in Oxon Hill, MD to provide food, baby products, and household supplies to the residents of Prince George’s County. This included providing over 200 turkeys and Thanksgiving food packages this holiday season.
Back-to-school backpack distribution
Overcomer, Inc. partners with the DC Ward 8 councilman’s office to provide back packs and school supplies students in the community. This year’s event served over 1500 students!
Youth Leadership Program
The Overcomer Youth Leadership Program (OYLP) provides leadership development and training, networking opportunities, and college and career support to students in 10th - 12th grades. The program ensures that students have the tools, networks, and support necessary to excel in life, while focusing on student character and development. Through interactive leadership activities and workshops, college admission support, service learning opportunities, college tours, and more, the Overcomer Youth Leaders learn how to develop the skills needed for life success.
